Once the fraud detection system flags potentially fraudulent activity the Yroo user is immediately quarantined and a Yroo team member immediately reviews their account, history and recent activities, often contacting the person directly. Once the suspicious purchase is reviewed and declared legitimate their account will be reactivated otherwise a protocol of communications is followed between Yroo, the sellers and any other concerned parties such as payment processors.

Yroo’s fraud detection system is quite unique due to the machine and human review hybrid approach. Not only can it work without a lot of training data, as required in traditional machine learning, but once the data is available the machine learning will just improve the accuracy significantly moving forward.
